Space and Equipment

Soul Medicine Sanctuary is a fully supplied, multi-use space, and nearly all of it is included in your rental, except for the few items marked otherwise below. The space itself is a renovation of well over one hundred thousand dollars, carried out with attention to the details that make a gathering comfortable, from the heated bidet toilets to the sound, the lighting, and the warmth of every room. Outfitting it, the sound system, the seating, the cushions and mats, the altar pieces, the full kitchen, the comfort for every body in the room, has taken careful attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and many thousands of dollars more. I have made that investment so that you don’t have to. When you rent here, you are not walking into an empty room and hauling in the hundred small things a real gathering needs. It is already here, waiting for you.

There is a deep joy for me in offering it this way, in being of service to the work you bring. And if there is something particular your event calls for that you don’t see on the list, please ask. I may well have it. It would be my honor to help you hold your gathering here.

A note about caring for the space & its belongings

One gentle but important note: I keep rental rates as affordable as I can (I’m honestly just trying to make the space sustainable, not turn a profit) and I don’t build the cost of breakage or loss into them. So if you break it, please fix it, and if something is damaged or lost while it’s in your care, please repair or replace it. Each of us taking responsibility for our own mishaps is what keeps this space affordable and fully supplied for everyone who gathers here after you.

The cleaning fee covers sanitizing the space between gatherings, so it is fresh and ready for the next community to arrive. It is not a fee to clean up after your party. We ask that you leave the space as you found it: dishes washed, trash gathered, your things packed, and the room returned to order. When a space is left needing more than that ordinary reset, an additional cleaning charge of $50 an hour applies. We hold this gently, only to keep this a shared home tended with love, so everyone who comes arrives to the same care you did.
